in November 2018, the beloved wolf 926f was shot and finished in the small town of Silver Gate while crossing the border of Yellowstone National Park. She was the alpha female of the famous Lamar Canyon pack. Like many visitors from all over the world, we have known and loved them since wolf watching in Yellowstone. Our closest and most memorable experiences with wolves were with this beautiful and brave female.

She was shot and finished on Bannock Trail, a residential road in Silver Gate, just behind the northeast boundary of the park. this tragic execute sparked a huge controversy in Silver Gate and the nearby city of Cook City. Should a no-hunting zone be created around these cities? (Or more specifically, the ban on wolf hunting and trapping proposed by Montana Senate Bill 185, see below in this article. The majority of Silver Gate and Cook City residents and business owners support the hunting ban, and only a small minority do not.

Our goal here is to make a list of the companies that have confirmed their support for the ban on wolf hunting in the vicinity of Silver Gate and Cook City. We will not tolerate the boycott of Silver Gate and Cooke City. It would simply harm the majority of residents and business people who love and support Yellowstone’s wildlife and natural ecosystem.
